2020 MCJ Tournament Invite

Dates: January 22-23, 2020

Location: Online

Events: Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Program of Oral Interpretation, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Policy Debate, and Student Congress.

Double Entry: Competitors may as many Asynchronous as desired, but only one Synchronous.

Entry limits: I am currently going to limit synchronous entries to 4 per school per event (except Student Senate which will be 2 per school) until January 10, I will then empty the waiting lists as much as possible.

Asynch events: HI, DI, DUO, OO, INF, POI

Synch events: LD, CX, PF, SC, NX, FX, IM

Judges: 1 judge for every 6 IE/Congress entries

1 judge for every 4 LD/PF entries

1 judge for every 2 Policy entries

Asynchronous Events Preliminary will be available to be judged Thursday @ 8:00 am and must be completed by Saturday at Noon. Quarterfinals must be completed by 2:30 pm, Semifinals by 4:30, and Finals by 6:30 pm.

Further Importance!!!! If your judges are not entered or no show, we will drop entries from your school without refund!!! 

Fees:   $10 school fee

$8 per student per entry

$25 for each round missed by judge

$25 drop fee after deadline

Awards will be given to all competitors who make elimination rounds. Team Sweepstakes will be based on Entry size Top 3 for Large Entry and Top 3 for Small Entry will receive awards.
